About Us
Nick Goyal, a mechanical engineer working in San Francisco, got his start in the fueling industry with a single Arco Station in 1978 in Oakland, CA. Goyal grew within the Arco franchise for a number of years before working with Shell Oil during the mid-1980s. Goyal grew as a lessee dealer and contract operator for Shell Oil until 1995, when he built his first fuel station in Southern California. Between 1995 and 2007, Goyal built a fleet of over 25 locations. In 2010, an additional 77 locations were acquired from Shell Oil, thus Au was born, now a wholesaler for Shell Oil.
Retail
Au currently operates stores throughout the state of California. Our family has owned and operated convenience stores since 1978, giving us thorough professional management experience, alongside comprehensive retail experience. We are always looking for ways to grow and expand. We pride ourselves on bright stores and dedicated service professionals while selling high quality fuels.

Wholesale
Au features technologically advanced automated fueling stations and dealer web portals. We are customer focused; our clients work with dedicated service representatives, as well as corporate staff available to address questions and concerns. We understand the unique needs of our retailers. We offer specialized buying programs, preferred vendor programs, and retail consulting. Au is prepared to support all areas of retail operations, including: site selection, facility design, industry development, inventory audits, re-modeling services, environmental compliance reviews, and customer service training.
